The Afghan Hash Plant strain traces its lineage back to seeds carefully collected in the 1970s from the most respected and skilled traditional hash makers in the Mazari Sharif region of northern Afghanistan — a place long considered the heartland of world-class hashish production, where cannabis cultivation is woven into centuries of cultural tradition.

An exciting few years were then spent growing out and rigorously selecting the strongest, most resinous, and most flavourful phenotypes for our breeding stock. It was an immersive process of patient observation and careful curation, guided by one clear objective: to preserve and celebrate the very best that this legendary landrace had to offer. From that dedicated work, the Afghan Hash Plant was unearthed.

A champion hash-making variety in every sense, it stands as one of our favourite pure Indica strains — a direct, uncut connection to the ancient cannabis traditions of the Hindu Kush. Its compact, bushy structure and broad, dark-green fan leaves are classic Indica hallmarks, reflecting its high-altitude origins and natural resilience.

In just 8 weeks of flowering, the Afghan Hash Plant develops dense, heavy buds absolutely drenched in resin — a thick blanket of trichomes that makes this variety a natural for anyone producing bubble hash, dry sift, or pressed charas in the traditional style. The yields are generous, and the quality is consistently exceptional.
